Imtinan Alzaidi
Masters Level Intern

Imtinan Alzaidi is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling intern and M.A. student at the University of New Haven with a background in psychology. She brings a strong foundation in human behavior, emotional well-being, and client-centered support. 


Imtinan is passionate about helping individuals feel more grounded, understood, and empowered through a compassionate, collaborative approach that includes practical tools clients can apply in daily life. She has experience working with children in special education settings and with adolescents struggling with addiction. She tailors her work to be developmentally appropriate, strength-based, and grounded in practical coping skills. Imtinan has training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Person-Centered therapy, and she tailors care to each client’s needs, strengths, and goals.


Imtinan is bilingual in Arabic and English and is committed to culturally responsive care for individuals and families from diverse backgrounds. She also has volunteer experience, supporting children and assisting immigrant communities with acculturation stress and adjustment-related challenges.
